Financial Support Opportunities

The Econometric Society will award a limited number of grants to young scholars through waiving early bird registration fees as partial reimbursement of travel expenses to attend the conference. To qualify for the grant, applicants should be graduate students or faculty members who obtained their PhD degrees during the past three years.

The slots for financial support are limited. Depending on the number of applications received, preference will be given to conference attendees participating as a presenter and/or those travelling from extreme distances within the Asian region. The deadline of the application is March 16, 2021. We will notify the decision on awarding the grant through email before March 24, 2021.

Once get granted, the applicants need to register for the conference before March 31, 2021, the Early Bird Registration Deadline.

Please note that to apply for the financial support, applicants need to send an email with an attachment:

  1. Faculties need to provide a CV (with references and an indication of the date of the PhD).
  2. Graduate students need to present a letter from your department chair or dean certifying your doctoral student status.

The email should be entitled “Financial Support Application-Your last name first name-Institution name”, and be sent to ames@curtin.edu.my.
